Nell\u2019ottobre di quest\u2019anno il Comitato norvegese per il Nobel ha deciso di assegnare il premio per la pace all\u2019Unione europea per la sua \u201cvittoriosa lotta per la pace e la riconciliazione, per la democrazia e i diritti umani\u201d, come si legge nel testo delle motivazioni. Il 10 dicembre alcuni rappresentati dell\u2019Unione europea saranno ad Oslo per ritirare il premio. Insieme a molte\/i altre\/i, non possiamo che esprimere la nostra contrariet\u00e0 per questa decisione che ci lascia intravedere una strana idea di pace che non pu\u00f2 essere la nostra e dallo spazio in cui ci collochiamo abbiamo deciso di contestarla. Siamo un gruppo di donne italiane e di madri e famiglie tunisine che dall\u2019anno scorso lottano insieme nell\u2019ambito della campagna \u201cda una sponda all\u2019altra: vite che contano. Dove sono i nostri figli?\u201d. Pretendiamo che le istituzioni dei due paesi, l\u2019Italia e la Tunisia, diano conto della scomparsa di molti migranti partiti subito dopo la rivoluzione, sapendo che non si pu\u00f2 scomparire nel nulla. Siamo consapevoli che le ragioni per contestare un premio Nobel per la pace all\u2019Unione europea sono molteplici, noi lo faremo perch\u00e9 riteniamo che le politiche migratorie dell\u2019Unione europea prevedono da molti anni la scomparsa e la morte di migliaia di persone e la trasformazione del Mediterraneo in un cimitero marino. Lo faremo perch\u00e9 una pace che implichi quelle scomparse e quelle morti non pu\u00f2 essere la nostra: noi la chiamiamo guerra.<\/p>\n

La paix de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne n\u2019est pas la n\u00f4tre. <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Au mois d\u2019octobre de cette ann\u00e9e le Comit\u00e9 norv\u00e9gien pour le prix Nobel a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019attribuer le prix pour la paix \u00e0 l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne pour \u00ab\u00a0la lutte r\u00e9ussie pour la paix et la r\u00e9conciliation et pour la d\u00e9mocratie et les droits de l\u2019homme\u00a0\u00bb, comme on lit dans le texte des motivations. Le 10 d\u00e9cembre les repr\u00e9sentants de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne seront \u00e0 Oslo pour recevoir ce prix. Avec beaucoup d\u2019autres, nous ne pouvons qu’exprimer notre d\u00e9sapprobation pour cette d\u00e9cision qui nous fait entrevoir une \u00e9trange id\u00e9e de paix qui ne peut pas \u00eatre la n\u00f4tre, et \u00e0 partir de l\u2019espace o\u00f9 nous no<\/span><\/span>us situons, n<\/span><\/span><\/span>ous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de la contester. Nous sommes un groupe de femmes italiennes ainsi que des m\u00e8res et des familles tunisiennes qui depuis l\u2019ann\u00e9e pass\u00e9e luttent ensemble dans le cadre de la campagne \u00ab\u00a0D\u2019une rive \u00e0 l\u2019autre\u00a0: vies qui comptent. O\u00f9 sont nos enfants\u00a0?\u00a0\u00bb. Nous pr\u00e9tendons que les institutions des deux pays, l\u2019Italie et la Tunisie, doivent rendre compte de la disparition de nombreux migrants, qui sont partis tout de suite apr\u00e8s la r\u00e9volution, en sachant qu\u2019on ne peut pas disparaitre dans le n\u00e9ant. Nous sommes conscients qu’il y a beaucoup de raisons pour contester le prix Nobel pour la paix \u00e0 l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne, nous le ferons parce que nous pensons que les politiques migratoires de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne sont la cause depuis des ann\u00e9es de la disparition et de la mort de milliers de personnes et de la transformation de la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e en un cimeti\u00e8re marin. The European Union Peace Is Not Ours<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This past October, the Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to the European Union for its contribution\u00a0 \u201cto the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy and human rights,\u201d as the prize announcement statement reads. On December 10<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span><\/sup> some EU representatives will go to Oslo to receive the award. Together with many other women and men, we can\u2019t but express our deepest opposition to this award decision which hints at a conception of peace which is different from ours, an idea of peace which can\u2019t be ours. That is why from the space where we are situated we decided to contest it. We are a group of Italian women and of Tunisian mothers and families who, starting from last year, have been fighting together in the context of the campaign \u201cFrom one Shore to the Other: Lives that Matter. Where Are Our Sons?\u201d We demand an answer of our two countries, Italy and Tunisia, accounting for the disappearance of many migrants who have left right after the revolution \u2013 we all know that one can\u2019t vanish into thin air.\u00a0 We are aware that there are multiple reasons for which one could contest the Nobel Peace Prize to the European Union. However, our reason lays in the European Union migratory policies which have been causing the disappearance and the death of thousands of people in the past decades, transforming the Mediterranean into a maritime just cemetery. We contest this prize because a peace that implies those disappearances and deaths can\u2019t be our peace: we call that a war, not a peace.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
